Logistics 4.0

Key problem

Between warehouses and automated production lines there is often a gap, and manual material handling is still required to feed the machines. Creating a full automated stack from warehouse and production, although possible, would require substantial economic efforts, and sometimes it is not even possible without a strong impact on the production plant layout.

Our objective

In this use case, we aim at investigating the feasibility of using robotic systems to automate the manual operations related to machine feeding and pick and place from warehouse.

The abilities to achieve

Key ability Manipulation

Manipulation of boxes in constrained environments

Key ability Navigation

Autonomous navigation in structured environments
